The 11th annual Make A Difference Day event will be held in Summit County on Saturday, October 10th, 2009.
If you are interested in hosting a site or need some volunteers to help you get some work done in your organization, please plan for Make a Difference Day this year. Volunteers from all over the county mobilize to help local non-profit organizations, schools and other groups get much needed work done for the coming year.
Want to be a site? The following are the requirements for a project site for this year’s Make a Difference Day:
- Project(s) that can be done in 3 to 5 hours
- You decide how many volunteers you will need to complete the project(s)
- Detailed explanation of project(s) sent to MDD team in this form
- All the materials needed to complete the project
- All the tools needed to complete the project
- Provide map from Bus Barn to Site for volunteers
- If there is inclement weather, will you still be able to be a site?
- Site leader assigned
- Bilingual if possible
- Must be available on Oct. 10th from 7:45am until work is finished at site
- Site leader will receive a FREE t-shirt, breakfast, and lunch.
